Neurodiverse-centred Courses

If you are neurodiverse and are in search of a course that can cater to your needs, then look no further! Neurodiverse courses at Cambria are designed to enable individuals with social communication conditions such as Autism to succeed academically.

The courses are taught by experienced staff and incorporate practical techniques and strategies, tailored to individual needs. From hands-on activities to auditory stimulation, these courses are designed to your preferred learning style.

Not only will you gain valuable knowledge and skills in your chosen field, but you’ll also improve your overall confidence and self-esteem as you discover new ways of learning that work for you.

Life Skills

All neuro courses offer a personalised life skills element aimed at developing your independence and employment skills such as using transport, working with others, developing communication skills and managing money.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a Neuro programme all learners must have a social communication difficulty such as Autism documented in an education plan i.e Individual Development Plan or Learning and Skills Plan (Wales) or Education Health and Care Plan (England).

More details about the courses offered and how to apply now can be found below.

Studied – Level 3/4 Foundation Studies in Art and Design

Currently – Studying Fine Art painting in London at UAL Camberwell

I chose to study the Foundation course, as it was the next step forward in my creative journey. I knew that it would teach me beneficial skills which I can apply in my creative process and prepare me well for university.

Without the Foundation course and the amazing support from the tutors there, I wouldn’t be where I am now. All the knowledge and teachings from this course gave me an edge during my time in my first year of university and prepared me well for it with considerate and supportive advice for the future.

All the abilities I gained from this course are not only used in my creative practice, but can also be applied in different areas of life which is extremely advantageous.

If you are considering studying Art I highly recommend the Foundation course. The bonds you build with your classmates, the experiences you gain and the memories you make, will last you for a lifetime!

Studied – A Level English, Drama, Maths and French

Currently – Presenter and News Correspondent for the BBC

“I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do in the future, so I chose a range of different subjects to study at A Level. I’m now employed by the BBC as a Presenter and News Correspondent and studying at Yale Sixth gave me the confidence and skills to go onto university. I made some amazing friends, had some great teachers who I’ll never forget and had a great time in Wrexham!

“I look back on my time at Yale with pride and fondness and will never forget it!”
