The Skills for Employers and Employees project is an exciting, £18.7m opportunity for you and your business. If you’re based in North Wales, this project will help you to develop staff skills and create a highly qualified workforce, making you better equipped to deliver commercial success in the future.
SEE’s been set up to provide a major boost to the local economy by offering 7,000 employees subsidised training. It’s targeting key sectors including food, digital economy, life sciences & health, advanced manufacturing, tourism, recreation & leisure, care, construction, and energy & low carbon. If your business isn’t operating in these sectors, don’t worry, you can still apply for funding! Check your eligibility below.

What support will I get
There’s now an even higher level of financial support available through the project in response to COVID-19. You can access up to 100% subsidised training for your workforce (eligibility criteria applies).
The SEE team will identify the skills gaps and training opportunities within your team. Once a training plan has been agreed upon, the approved providers will manage the courses for you. We’ll make sure the courses are the best fit for your business, selected to bring the very best out of your team.

Apprenticeships recruitment support
The apprenticeship incentives for employing a disabled person will run to 31 March 2023 (subject to budget availability). The incentive will help businesses to recruit a disabled person and support the development of a diverse workforce.
Everything you need to know
Employers who recruit a disabled apprentice on 1st April 2022 or later, will be eligible to receive an employer incentive of £2,000 per learner. Payments can be claimed in addition to the 16-24, 25 and over and redundancy incentives.
This incentive applies to apprenticeships delivered at Levels 2-5 only.

Shared Apprenticeship models are ineligible for the apprenticeship recruitment incentives.
