The Level 2 Neuro Animal Care course is an inclusive and fully supported programme providing a learning environment that will best suit YOU. This course is designed to meet the needs and abilities of neurodiverse learners and is a great way to learn more about animal care and what it can offer.

The excellent Animal Care Centre will give you the opportunity to gain valuable practical skills, with access to over a hundred species of animals including rabbits, goats, snakes, lizards and rodents. You will also cover a wide range of underpinning knowledge and this combination will give you a head start in your chosen career path.

Neuro Animal Care will give you the right mix of skills to progress your ambitions, ensuring that you get the best overall experience and knowledge to succeed. You will work with expert staff to develop your skills in caring for animals. Fully supported, you will also develop social communication, organisational, and life and living skills.

Literacy and numeracy development will be a core focus for all learners on the programme and you will have the opportunity to undertake Essential Skills Wales qualifications or GCSEs.

You will be assigned a Progress Coach who will support you throughout your time on the programme. They will ensure that any ALN support is put in place before you start and that any new support needs that may arise are incorporated into your programme to help you to succeed. The course is fully supported to meet individual needs and learning differences.
The course is assessed through continual assessment and portfolio building.
