Course Overview
NeuroTech Level 3 is an inclusive and fully supported course aimed at providing a learning environment that will best suit YOU. This course is designed to meet the needs and abilities of Autistic learners and is a great way to learn more about Digital and what it can offer.

Studying a NeuroTech course at Coleg Cambria allows you to work with innovative products and changing technology in the fastest growing sector in the world. It puts you in the best possible place to make the most of this Digital environment and fully exploit your potential.

NeuroTech will give you the right mix of skills to progress your ambitions, ensuring that you get the best overall experience and knowledge to succeed. On the course you will work with expert staff to realise your true potential, as you develop your Digital and Employability skills. Fully supported, you will also develop social communication, organisational, and life and living skills.

Fully supported in all areas of the course by experienced support staff, you will have the confidence and ability to explore IT industries, with the option to progress within the College to achieve success in life and work.

Interested in Digital Technologies? This course can help you to get on the right track!

On this course a Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Certificate in Information Technology will give you the skills you need to succeed, across a range of different units and specialisms.

You will also receive support and tuition in English and Maths on the course, enabling you to achieve a relevant qualification and functional skills.
The BTEC qualification uses a combination of assessment styles to give you the confidence that you can apply your knowledge to succeed in the workplace – and have the study skills to continue learning on higher education courses.

This range of vocational assessments – both practical and written – mean you can showcase your learning and achievements to best effect when you take your next step, whether that’s applications to higher education courses or potential employers.
Typically learners will need 4 GCSEs at D/3 or above including Maths and English language / Welsh (1st language) and desire a future career in digital technologies.

To be eligible for NeuroTech, learners must have a current Individual Development Plan (IDP, Wales) Learning and Skills Plan (LSP, Wales) or Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP, England) which outlines social communication needs such as Autism.

Eligibility for the NeuroTech course will be verified by the College’s Inclusion Panel who will also advise on support and reasonable adjustments.

At Coleg Cambria we would encourage you to do the very best that you can in your exams. The better your grades the more options you will have.
Completing the Level 3 NeuroTech course will provide many progression opportunities.
Some courses may require equipment and/or uniforms to be purchased. Please see attached equipment list for further information.
