What You'll Learn
The diploma aims to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed for university-level study and includes a variety of engaging subjects and essential core skills. You may explore modules such as:
* Psychology
* Sociology
* History
* English
* Counselling

You'll also develop crucial core skills, including:
* Communication
* Study Skills
* Numeracy

Your tutor will guide you on the specific modules relevant to your learning journey.
GCSE grade C/4 in English or Maths, with at least grade D/3 in the other subject.
or
Level 2 AON or Communication, with at least Level 1 in the other subject.

Experience in a suitable Health Care setting is preferred.

Applicants should be 19+ to study this course.

Prospective applicants are encouraged to contact individual universities for information about entry requirements. Many teaching degree courses ask for GCSEs at B/6 in Maths, English and Science.

You may be advised to enrol on the Skills for Further Study course prior to starting the Access course. This programme allows the opportunity to take a GCSE in either Maths or English.
You’ll achieve this diploma through continuous assessment, primarily through assignment work. You’ll also gain experience with timed tests or examination situations. Credits are awarded as you satisfactorily complete each unit of study.
To earn your Access to HE Diploma, you’ll need to achieve 60 credits, including a number of mandatory credits. Your Level 3 credits will be graded as Pass, Merit, or Distinction. Upon successful completion of the full programme, you’ll be awarded the Agored Cymru ‘QAA-recognised’ Access to H.E. Diploma.
This course opens up a world of possibilities, enabling you to progress to a wide range of degree courses and exciting employment opportunities. You could pursue degrees in:
