Duration | Full Time, This blended learning course offers flexibility to fit your life. You’ll have face-to-face contact for 53% of the course, running between 9:15 am and 6:30 pm on Wednesdays. The rest of your learning will be online e-learning, which you can complete at a time that suits you during your week. This course runs from January to December, with a summer break. To ensure your success, effective personal time management is key. Planning your online and independent study time will support your learning journey and help you achieve your goals. |

This one-year, full-time Access to Higher Education Diploma is designed to prepare you for university study, opening doors to exciting opportunities in nursing, midwifery, occupational therapy, and other allied health professions.
What You'll Learn
This one-year, full-time programme will equip you with the essential knowledge and skills for higher education. You'll gain a strong understanding of specialist subjects through mandatory modules, including:
* Anatomy & Physiology
* Sociology
* Health studies
You'll also develop crucial core skills, including:
* Communication
* Study Skills
* Numeracy
Your tutor will guide you on the specific modules relevant to your learning journey.
What You'll Learn

GCSE grade C/4 in English/ Welsh (1st Language ) or Maths, with at least grade D/3 in the other subject.

Level 2 AON or Communication, with at least Level 1 in the other subject.
Experience in a suitable Health Care setting is preferred. Applicants should be 19+ to study this course.
Learners should be committed to a level 3 full time programme and developing their ability to study. IT skills are essential as a substantial part of the course is delivered on-line.
Prospective applicants are encouraged to contact individual universities for information about entry requirements. Many Nursing degree courses ask for GCSEs at C/4 or above in Maths and English.

Your progress will be assessed continuously, primarily through assignment work, with some timed tests or examinations to prepare you for university assessments. You’ll achieve credits upon satisfactory completion of each unit of study. To be awarded the Access to HE Diploma, you’ll need to achieve 60 credits, including a number of mandatory credits. Level 3 credits are graded as Pass, Merit, or Distinction.
Upon successful completion of the full programme, you’ll be awarded the Agored Cymru ‘QAA-recognised’ Access to H.E. Diploma.
