Duration | Full Time, This is a one-year, full-time blended learning course, running from September to June (34 academic weeks). You’ll experience a dynamic learning approach with 50% face-to-face contact, held on campus on Thursdays between 9:15am-6:30pm. The remainder of your studies will be engaging online e-learning, giving you the flexibility to complete it at a time that suits your schedule during the week. The diploma aims to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed for university-level study and includes a variety of engaging subjects and essential core skills. You may explore modules such as:
* Understanding key healthcare principles: Explore subjects like Anatomy & Physiology and Sociology of Health.
* Developing vital study skills: Enhance your communication and study techniques for university-level learning.
* Real-world application: While a work placement isn't required, the course is designed to provide practical understanding.

* Numeracy

GCSE grade C/4 in English/ Welsh (1st Language) or Maths, with at least grade D/3 in the other subject.

Experience in a suitable Health Care setting is preferred. Applicants should be 19+ to study this course.
Learners should be committed to a level 3 full time programme and developing their ability to study. IT skills are essential as a substantial part of the course is delivered on-line.
Prospective applicants are encouraged to contact individual universities for information about entry requirements. Many Nursing degree courses ask for GCSEs at C/4 or above in Maths and English.

The programme is achieved by continuous assessment, the majority of which is assignment work with some experience of timed tests or examination situations. Credits are achieved on satisfactory completion of each unit of study. To be awarded an Access to HE Diploma, 60 credits must be achieved, which include a number of mandatory credits. Level 3 credits are graded as Pass, Merit or Distinction. On successful completion of the full programme of study students are awarded the Agored Cymru ‘QAA – recognised’ Access to H.E. Diploma.
