Duration | Full Time, This blended learning course offers flexibility to fit your life. You’ll have face-to-face contact for 53% of the course, running between 9:15am-6:30pm on Tuesdays. The rest of your learning will be online e-learning, which you can complete at a time that suits you during your week. This course runs from January to December, with a summer break. To ensure your success, effective personal time management is key. Planning your online and independent study time will support your learning journey and help you achieve your goals. |

GCSE grade C/4 in English/ Welsh (1st Language) or Maths, with at least grade D/3 in the other subject.

Level 2 AON or Communication, with at least Level 1 in the other subject.
However, we encourage adults with life and work experience to still apply even if they don’t have the above entry requirements as each learner application is assessed on an individual basis.
Applicants should be 19+ to study this course.
You may be advised to enrol on the Preparation For Career and Study course or ESWS prior to starting the Access course. These programmes allow the opportunity to upskill in Application of Number and Communication Skills.
Prospective applicants are encouraged to contact individual universities for information about entry requirements.

You’ll be assessed continuously through a variety of methods, primarily assignment work, along with some timed tests or examination situations. You’ll achieve credits upon satisfactory completion of each unit of study. To be awarded the Access to HE Diploma, you’ll need to achieve 60 credits, including a number of mandatory credits. Your Level 3 credits will be graded as Pass, Merit, or Distinction. Upon successful completion, you’ll be awarded the Agored Cymru ‘QAA-recognised’ Access to H.E. Diploma.
Upon completion, you’ll be equipped to pursue degree courses in areas such as Teaching, Social Work, English, Psychology, Criminology, Sociology, Geography, History, Journalism, and many more options are available to you. This course provides valuable knowledge and will give you access to many university courses that will lead to a wide range of employment opportunities.
