You’ll learn primarily through engaging practical sessions in our sector-leading workshop. We use the latest diagnostic equipment and machinery, providing you with invaluable hands-on experience.
Your learning will also involve:
● Tractor operation and fieldwork
● Classroom activities
● Industry visits and inspiring guest speakers
Our national partnerships with leading agricultural machinery manufacturers like AGCO, Massey Ferguson, Fendt, Valtra, Kubota, and Kverneland mean you’ll have access to new and emerging technology and machinery.
The course is delivered through our purpose-built Agricultural Teaching Centre. You’ll benefit from visits to industry shows and competitions, lectures, and demonstrations from industry specialists. Plus, you’ll make full use of our diverse 400-hectare commercial working farm, featuring a large dairy herd, beef and sheep units, an academy, and extensive woodland and forestry.
Work Experience & Educational Trips
Work placements are an integral part of this course. You’ll undertake invaluable placements throughout your studies within a relevant land-based business. These placements are key to further developing your skills, establishing industry links, and strengthening your future employment prospects. You may even have the exciting opportunity to travel to Europe to expand your experience!

5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above including Maths and English Language/Welsh (1st Language)
