The Kubota Apprenticeship Scheme is a dynamic partnership between Kubota, a world leader in agricultural machinery, and agricultural engineering education specialists Coleg Cambria Llysfasi. This industry-approved training is designed to help young agricultural engineers thrive in positions within Kubota agricultural dealerships across the UK.

What You'll Learn
This qualification covers all the essential skills, knowledge, and understanding you'll need to excel in the land-based engineering industry. You will explore a wide range of areas, including health and safety, calculations for service engineering, and workshop processes. You'll gain hands-on experience learning to repair engines, vehicle systems, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems, and how to test electronic systems. Furthermore, you'll master the repair of mechanical power transmission systems, synchromesh transmissions and clutches, powershift transmissions, and hydrostatic or hydro-mechanical (CVT) transmissions. You'll also learn to repair cultivation or drilling machinery, application machinery, forage harvesting machinery, and combinable or root crop machinery.

The Kubota apprenticeship offers an exciting opportunity to "earn while you learn". By successfully participating, you'll achieve an industry-approved qualification, gain fantastic hands-on practical skills through a manufacturer-backed scheme, and earn a wage.

How You'll Learn
Your learning journey will primarily involve practical sessions in our cutting-edge workshop, utilising the latest diagnostic equipment and machinery. You'll also engage in tractor operation and fieldwork, classroom activities, visits, and learn from expert guest speakers. You'll experience a variety of teaching methods, including theory sessions, individual and group work, and practical tasks. A key part of the course also includes Manufacturer product Training at the Kubota Training School.

In addition, you'll have the opportunity to undertake external assessments to gain valuable certificates of competence in areas such as Tractor Driving, Telescopic Handler, Welding, ATV, Fork Lift Truck, Abrasive Wheels, Customer Care, Installation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigerant Handling.

5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above including Maths and English Language/Welsh (1st Language) and to be working for a Kubota dealer as a Trainee Service Engineer.

At Coleg Cambria we would encourage you to do the very best that you can in your exams. The better your grades the more options you will have, and may result in you gaining entry onto a higher level course.
You’ll demonstrate your learning continuously throughout the year.

Your assessments will include assignments, practical observations, small tests, examinations, and synoptic assessments.

This course can lead to exciting employment opportunities within Kubota’s dealerships across the UK.
