Course Overview
Ready to take your barbering skills to the next level? This advanced course is designed to equip you with the expertise needed to thrive as a professional Barber, whether you dream of working in a bustling barbershop or launching your own business.
What You'll Learn:
This qualification builds on your existing knowledge and develops more detailed and enhanced technical skills essential for employment. You'll gain a strong understanding of both the art and business of barbering.
Mandatory units include:
- Providing client consultation services
- Creatively cutting hair using a combination of barbering techniques
- Designing and creating a range of facial hair shapes
- Providing shaving services.
To ensure you have a wide range of skills for the industry, you'll also select a minimum of two optional units from a selection of ten. These include units on "Business in the Hair and Barbering Industry" to support you in understanding how to set up and maximise the success of your own business or those you'll be working in. We've also included optional units like facial skincare to broaden your expertise.

You’ll undertake a range of practical activities and be regularly assessed throughout the year. Your underpinning knowledge and understanding will be tested through written assignments and exams.
