What You'll Experience
This program is all about preparing you for paid employment. You'll gain valuable skills that employers are looking for and have the chance to show your abilities in a real work environment. We'll also help you build confidence in your own potential to thrive at work.

Here’s what you can expect:
*Workplace-based learning: You'll spend time in real workplaces, gaining practical experience.
*Personalised study program: We'll tailor your learning to your individual needs and career aspirations.

*Goal-oriented planning: All activities are designed to provide you with the knowledge and understanding for your unique journey towards employment.

Applications for ILS programmes need to be submitted by the end of April. This allows us to offer you a thorough and extensive transition into college. You'll also need to attend an assessment day with our Transition Officer before starting the program.
Learners will typically be aged between 16 and 25 and come from a variety of backgrounds. All will have a need for significant support to enable them to successfully achieve paid employment.

Learners will need to have a mature attitude, be willing to learn and develop their skills and be dedicated to finding employment. Many of the learners will have progressed from Pathway 2 or 3 and this Pathway will be the ‘final year’ for learners who have the potential to progress into paid employment.

Learners suited to this course will have an Education Plan (IDP or Education Health Care Plan) which details their additional learning needs.

Learners will need to be able to travel independently to work placements.
