Level 3 Diploma in Uniformed Public Services

The course will develop the knowledge, skills and understanding needed in preparation to join a chosen Uniformed Service organisation.

Those organisations include:
Criminal Justice and Offender Management establishments such as the Police, Prison Service or Border Agency.
The Fire and Rescue Service
The Armed Services such as the British Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy;
or alternatively further study within a related area at University.

In this course you will study a variety of theoretical and practical mandatory topics such as:
● Prepare for a career in a chosen Uniformed Service
● Develop aspects of Physical Fitness
● Develop Leadership Skills
● Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Optional units will include an:
● Carry out Map Reading and Navigation across Open Country
● Skills for Land-based Outdoor and Adventurous Activities
● Skills for Water-based Outdoor and Adventurous Activities
● Outdoor and Adventurous Activities
● Understanding Discipline in the Uniformed Services

All students will study for their Welsh Baccalaureate Qualification at advanced level and will be expected to undertake both a Global Community Project and Future Destinations Project.

Additionally, they will also be expected to volunteer for community engagement as well as undertake residential and work experience activities

Learners will also be working to improve their literacy and numeracy throughout the course.
