It also provides a foundation for further university study in related fields.

In addition to your core studies, you will work towards your Welsh Baccalaureate Qualification at an advanced level, which involves undertaking both a Global Community Project and a Future Destinations Project. You will also be expected to volunteer for community engagement and participate in residential and work experience activities. Throughout the course, there will be a continuous focus on improving your literacy and numeracy skills.
5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above including Maths and English Language/Welsh (1st Language) OR Successful completion of a relevant Level 2 programme which must include achievement of numeracy and literacy.

At Coleg Cambria we would encourage you to do the very best that you can in your GCSE exams. The better your grades the more options you will have, and may result in you gaining entry onto a higher level course.
Your progress will be continuously assessed through a diverse range of methods, including observations, written assignments, professional discussions, oral presentations, practical activities, and other skill development exercises. Achievement levels are Pass, Merit, or Distinction.

As part of the program, you will benefit from visits to various Uniformed Service establishments (subject to availability) and receive visits from relevant voluntary agencies and organisations. Personnel from a wide variety of Uniformed Services, including the Police and Armed Services, will also visit.

This course provides an excellent foundation for progression into apprenticeships within the Police, Fire and Rescue Service, or Armed Services, as well as for Higher Education.

Former students have pursued diverse subjects at university, such as Criminal Justice, Policing Studies, Sport, Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, or a HND in Public Services. This diploma is particularly beneficial for individuals aspiring to careers in the British Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, Prison Service, or the Border Agency.
