Course Overview

NeuroEngage is an inclusive and fully supported course that provides a learning environment that best suits learners with social communication needs such as Autism. This course is designed to meet the needs and abilities of school leavers who would struggle to access college through the traditional mainstream route.

This unique programme focuses on your individual needs and provides a nurturing learning environment. You'll enjoy:

*A Tailored Learning Journey: This one-year programme is designed to help you progress into further education, all in line with your Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) or Individual Development Plan (IDP) outcomes.
*Introduction to College: You'll get tasters of different subject areas, helping you decide your next steps.
*Essential Life Skills: A core part of the programme involves developing crucial life skills in areas like employability, health and wellbeing, community engagement, and independent living.
*Real-World Experience: You'll participate in group industrial tasters, giving you the chance to enhance your communication and social skills in actual work environments.
*Key Qualifications: You'll complete Essential Skills Wales qualifications in Maths and English at your own working level.
*Full Support: This programme is fully supported, with personalised transition assistance from an ASD mentor.
*Small Class Sizes: Learn in a bespoke classroom setting with a maximum of 10 learners, ensuring you receive focused attention.
*Campus Life: You'll be based at our Yale campus for three days a week.
There are no formal entry requirements, although users are expected to be interested in the subject area and have a current Individual Development Plan or Education, Health and Care Plan which outlines a complex social communication difficulty with a diagnosis of Autism.
Ongoing assessment via tasks and tutor monitoring.

Baseline assessments and individualised targets reviewed using RARPA.
On successful completion of this course learners could progress to mainstream FE courses or employment.
Some courses may require kit/uniform to be purchased. Please see attached kit list for further information.
