Support for Your Success:
Your learning is fully supported to meet your individual needs. You'll be assigned a Progress Coach who will support you throughout the programme, ensuring any additional learning needs are met from the start and throughout your course. You will have the opportunity to undertake Essential Skills Wales qualifications in Communication and Application of Number. These qualifications will help support your progression to higher levels of learning.
4 GCSEs at grade E/2 or above including Maths and English Language/Welsh (1st Language).

Applicants must also have proof that they are not colour blind (this can be provided by results of a satisfactory colour vision test).

For all learners who are looking to progress onto this level 1 course from an Entry programme you must have achieved your main qualification, progressed in Maths and English and hit all of the targets in your ILP.

At Coleg Cambria we would encourage you to do the very best that you can in your exams. The better your grades the more options you will have, and may result in you gaining entry onto a higher level course.
You’ll demonstrate your progress through a variety of assessments, including practical workshop tasks, written exams, online multiple-choice exams, and project work. Theoretical assessments consist of 10 written examinations, which are a blend of multiple-choice and short-answer question papers. These include eight Plumbing exams and two Electrical exams.

Successful progression to Level 2 requires learners to complete and pass all 10 examinations. You’ll also complete diagnostic assessments for literacy and numeracy to help tailor your learning journey.
Upon completing this course, you’ll be equipped with practical skills that will make a real difference in your career! We’ll support you in planning your next steps, which could include:

*Progressing to a higher-level course in a vocational area of your choice
*Moving into JGW+
*Gaining employment in the electrical installation or plumbing industries.
