This course is your first step into the exciting world of vehicle service and repair. Whether you're just starting out or looking to gain essential skills, this course is designed for you. You'll gain a strong understanding of how vehicles work and develop the practical skills employers are looking for.
What You'll Learn:
Get ready to learn the fundamentals and more! This hands-on course will equip you with vital knowledge and skills, including:
*Health and Safety: Learn essential principles to keep you and others safe in the workshop.
*Engines and Engine Systems: Discover how fuel, ignition, cooling, exhaust, and emissions systems work.
*Transmission and Braking Systems: Understand the ins and outs of how these crucial systems operate.
*Steering, Suspension, and Wheel & Tyre Maintenance: Master the basics of keeping vehicles on the road safely.
Throughout the programme, you'll also focus on developing your literacy and numeracy skills. You will have the opportunity to undertake Essential Skills Wales qualifications in Communication and Application of Number. These qualifications will help support your progression to higher levels of learning.
