Course Overview
This qualification has been designed to allow learners to obtain and then demonstrate the knowledge relating to the supervision of areas used to cook, prepare and serve food, at level 3.
The primary purpose of the qualification is to prepare for further learning or training and/or develop knowledge and/or skills in a subject area. However, employers can also rely on the knowledge provided as meeting nationally recognised standards at this level as such the sub purpose is to confirm develop knowledge and/or skills in a subject area.
The course covers the following topics:
* Understand the role of the supervisor in ensuring compliance with food safety legislation
* Understand the application and monitoring of good hygiene practice
* Understand how to implement food safety management procedures
* Understand the role of the supervisor in staff training
