Course Overview
This course is an introduction to programming industrial robots. Anyone with an interest in robotics or who is looking to expand their skills to start a career in programming industrial robots should apply. Students will learn how to operate industrial robots, create, edit and prove new programs as well as learn about the safety aspects of industrial robots. Students will be exposed to KUKA, ABB, Mitsubishi and UR robots during the course.
The course will culminate in a practical programming task where learners will program a KUKA robot to carry out a simulated industrial manufacturing task.
The course is delivered using a variety of hardware including an extensive mechatronics simulated production line, various industrial robots and simulation software.
