Course Overview

This exciting new 10 week course is aimed at individuals with an interest in Photography who would be keen to develop their skills in digital image capture and image enhancement. You will also have the opportunity of trying out some of the experimental techniques and processes unique to the traditional photo darkroom.

Through a blended mix of practice, learning, sharing and reflection, each weekly session will see a mix of practical workshop and classroom based tasks.

In addition to the key technical skills, you will also gain an insight and understanding of some of the most influential historical and contemporary photographic practitioners who have helped to shape and influence the medium.

Class sizes will be limited, so you will have the one-to-one attention you need to ensure you leave with the skills to continue developing your photography skills beyond the classroom. By the end of 10 weeks you will have improved your technical photographic skills, enabling you to pursue your interest in photography with increased creativity, understanding and confidence.
Having your own Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera or smartphone will be an advantage, but there are cameras and equipment such as tripods and alternative lenses that you can use.
