Course Overview
Have you ever wanted to learn to code? Are you interested in programming and would love to know what software applications are made out of, but have never been sure where to start?
This course is for YOU!
The Introduction to Python Coding course aims to introduce you to the basic concepts of software development, and the power that they have to help shape the digital environments we are constantly surrounded by on a daily basis.
At the end of this course you will be able to write a program, refine it, test it, and see it work. You will learn the rules of a programming language and how to write code to develop a successful program using the Python language.
No prior knowledge is required other than a familiarity with the standard workings of a computer - learn the technical skills you need to help you reach your goals and to give you the skills and tools you need for success.
The course awards a Gateway Qualifications Level 2 Award in Computer Programming.
Unit Learning Outcomes
1. Understand the principles of programming
2. Be able to design a program in response to a client brief
3. Be able to develop a program using a text-based programming language
4. Be able to test, refine, document and review the program
This single unit qualification is designed for learners to learn about the principles of computer programming to understand how programming works. You will develop text-based programming skills to design and develop your own computer program.
