From lunchtime and after-college multi-sport and fitness sessions, expert advice on sleep, nutrition, strength, and overall lifestyle. An inclusive DofE programme and Positive Active Leaders programme to engage with female students, staff and community.
Activities are delivered in a relaxed, welcoming environment that encourages participation and fun. Students and staff can also request personalised holistic care packages to help them stay healthy, balanced, and ready to thrive.
At Cambria we offer the Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Award at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels (Timescales to complete the different levels vary).
All levels of the DofE award provide additional learning opportunities to our learners and our students develop a range of life and employability skills as well as independence to help transition to University as a result of taking part. These skills strengthen CVs and also prepare learners well for their future. In addition, those who take part make new friends, grow in confidence and develop resilience.
For more information on taking part in any level of the DofE Award, please call in to Student Services at any Cambria site or email dofe@cambria.ac.uk
Skills and attitudes developed as part of the DofE Award at Cambria include:
