Course Overview
The Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Electrical & Electronic Technology is offered at Coleg Cambria (Deeside Campus) through a collaborative agreement with Wrexham University. It comprises of a two year part-time study with day release and requires the completion of vocationally-specific modules.
The aim of the programme is to prepare students for a range of higher technical, professional and managerial careers in engineering by providing specialised studies which are relevant to those vocations and professions within which students are employed.
HNCs are benchmark qualifications for Engineering Technicians, recognised by industry and essential for certain positions in HM Forces. Our HNC course introduces you to the fundamentals of electrical engineering science, business and management skills you will need to succeed and provide you with an opportunity to hone your maths and IT skills.
This is a course for applicants who are employed in a relevant engineering field. Employers will be required to support their employees with time to attend the course and carry out their studies, with no requirement for the hours to be made up elsewhere, or deductions in salary.
