The BTEC qualification uses a combination of assessment styles, giving you the confidence to apply your knowledge in the workplace and the study skills to continue learning on higher education courses. This range of vocational assessments, both practical and written, allows you to showcase your learning and achievements effectively when you take your next step, whether that’s applications to higher education courses or potential employers.
BTEC uses three types of assessment: assignments, tasks, and written exams. There are four externally assessed exams/tasks in total, spread across the full two years.
