Don't worry if you're new to the field; this course will equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to succeed.

Beyond the Classroom
Educational trips, including trade shows and industrial visits, are an important part of your learning journey.

This highly successful course provides a comprehensive introduction to all our land-based areas. You'll not only develop practical skills specific to these industries but also enhance a wide range of adaptable skills such as planning, communication, and teamwork. Literacy and numeracy are integrated into the course, ensuring you gain well-rounded work skills.

4 GCSEs at grade E/2 or above including Maths or English Language/Welsh (1st Language) or Science, or successful completion of a relevant Entry Level qualification.

Students progressing from Entry 3 Level must show Literacy and Numeracy skills at Entry 3 Level or above in order to enrol.

At Coleg Cambria we would encourage you to do the very best that you can in your exams. The better your grades the more options you will have, and may result in you gaining entry onto a higher level course.
You’ll demonstrate your learning throughout the course through a variety of assessments designed to support your development. These include:

● Observation of your practical skills.
● Verbal questioning to check your understanding.
● Written assignments.
● Two online tests.
Upon successfully completing this course, you could progress to a Level 2 qualification in your chosen land-based industry. To move on to Level 2 courses, you’ll need to achieve your Level 1 qualification and a GCSE in Maths and Welsh 1st Language/English at grade D/3 or equivalent.

Alternatively, you could pursue employment or a Trainee Apprenticeship within the sector, gaining valuable experience while you learn.
