Course Overview

This course is perfect for you if you love immersing yourself in a wide range of literary texts. You'll study poetry, prose, and drama from various periods, expanding your literary horizons and developing a sophisticated knowledge of the technical vocabulary of literature. Get ready to explore multiple interpretations of texts and gain a rich understanding of their historical and cultural contexts.

What You'll Learn:
* AS Level Unit 1 Exam (20%) - Prose and Drama:
Section A: Fiction pre-1900
Section B: Drama
* AS Level Unit 2 Exam (20%) - Poetry:
Section A: Critical examination of poetry
Section B: Poetry Comparison
* A2 Level Unit 3 Exam (20%) - Poetry pre-1900 and unseen poetry
* A2 Level Unit 4 Exam (20%) - Shakespeare
* A2 Level Unit 5 Coursework (20%) - Prose Study
5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above including English Language / Welsh (1st Language) and Maths.

Note: Cannot be taken in combination with AS/A level English Combined Language and Literature.

You’ll have a mock examination, and regular assessments will be made throughout the course to track your progress and provide valuable feedback.
