Level 3 Diploma in Theatrical, Special Effects and Media Make-Up

This course is aimed at developing skills for working within the Theatrical and Media Make-up industry. The course is designed to develop skills that will enable the production of specialist effects make-up for competitions, photo shoots, TV and theatre. Basic knowledge from level 2 in either Hair or Beauty programmes is desirable to explore the creative skills required for this course.

An example of some of the units you will study are:

● Media make-up
● creative hair design
● Fashion and photographic make-up
● Advanced face and body art
● Camouflage make up

In addition to the Level 3 Theatrical, Special Effects and Hair and Media Makeup qualification, the learning area programme consists of the following compulsory elements to the course:

● Essential Skills Wales training and assessments
● Development of Welsh language skills
● All learners must complete a Work Placement

Please note that a kit and uniform are required to be able to study this course.
