First Aid at Work Annual Refresher

A 3 hour course which candidates holding a current First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work certificate can attend to update knowledge and practical skills gained on their original qualification.

Candidates will update knowledge and practical skills.

On completion of the training the candidate will have updated:
* Understand the role of a first aider including the importance of recording incidents, use of available equipment and the importance of preventing cross infection.
* Assess the situation and act safely, prompt and effectively
* Deal with an unconscious casualty
* Administer CPR including use of AED
* Deal with a choking casualty
* Deal with wounds, bleeding and shock
* Deal with minor injuries

There is an optional training module for dealing with catastrophic bleeding.
