Independent Living Skills (ILS) students from Coleg Cambria Yale set up a Shabby Chic Pop Up Craft stall in aid of the colleges chosen charity, Wales Air Ambulance.

ILS learners sold their unique crafts and homemade truffles and the event that was a great success, all ILS staff and students contributed to the event and the department raised in the region of £260 for the college charity.

Sue McDermott, ILS tutor and creator of Craftshed Crafts​​ said:

“The students get a whole manufacturing and retail experience from producing a craft such as a mosaic or painting and stencilling planters, pricing items, advertising and finally putting their customer service skills into practice with selling their wares.

“It gives them great pride to see someone buying and commenting on what they have produced during their sessions at Cambria”.
