Staff and pupils at Wat’s Dyke C.P School in Wrexham where delighted with the support received form Coleg Cambria to develop their outdoor learning environments.

Students from Coleg Cambria Bersham Road along with their tutor have been working closely with the school for a number of months to complete the transformation of the outdoor space using the skills they have learned in college.

Emma Roberts, Foundation Phase Lead at the school said:“I cannot express how supportive, co-operative and enthusiastic the team have been in helping to create enticing, rich outdoor learning environments for the children at our school. We feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to ‘tap into’ the skills of the fantastic staff and students and because of their hard work our outdoor area has been transformed.

“We feel confident that because of the hard work of the Coleg Cambria team and the staff at Wat’s Dyke we now have a fabulous provision for the children to develop a wide range of literacy, numeracy and topic based skills.

Coleg Cambria Assistant Principal & Director of Curriculum, Nick Tyson added:

“I would like to thank all involved in this project from the students to the staff at Bersham Road and those at the school.  We are really pleased the outside space is providing an excellent learning resource for the children at Wat’s Dyke C.P School and we hope to continue the partnership to further enhance the outdoor learning environments, which in turn gives our students the opportunity to use the skills they’ve learnt in college in a real environment.”
