Coleg Cambria student leads on an Erasmus+ project, Youth Sports Development Ambassadors (YSDA).

Kellen Hamlington who is studying Public Services level 3 travelled to Poland along with other Youth Sport Ambassadors from 7 EU countries.  She also attended a conference in Cardiff, to help with the implementation of the sessions at Coleg Cambria Yale.

Kellen who delivered multi sports and table tennis sessions to the students said:

“The YSDA project has taught me so much.  It’s helped me to believe in myself and my confident had improved too.  I have met amazing people who have helped me and showed me to keep fighting, even if it looks like it’s going nowhere.  It has also given me fantastic experience and memories that will stay with me forever.”

The YSDA project has enabled students from ethnic minority and migrant populations to take part in physical activity.  As the project has been a success at the college, Coleg Cambria will continue delivering sessions through their Active Cambria programme, which the focus on delivering physical activity to all students and staff.
