SafeGuard has been cooperating with colleges around Britain for years. The brand recently donated one of its premium bullet resistant vests to Coleg Cambria to be used for in-class demonstrations for students enrolled in the Public Service course.

Donations like this from SafeGuard enable Coleg Cambria to improve their teaching program with the best practical demonstrations possible. By giving students the opportunity to gain first-hand experience of using the latest equipment in the industry it will improve their employability within a competitive market once they complete their education.

Students will gain deeper understanding of the working mechanics of bullet proof vests. As a direct result – the learning experience at Coleg Cambria will also be improved. SafeGuard’s bulletproof vest will be used for role play and technical analysis to improve the quality of the Public Service programme and educational practices at Coleg Cambria.

“We’ve maintained a strong relationship with regional and national colleges through donations like this, along with education, research and development initiatives,” said Thomas Bowman, speaking on behalf of SafeGuard Armour and Clothing. “SafeGuard remains committed to supporting the communities where we operate and fostering learning and educational programs for current and future Public Service operatives.”

“We believe that all students should have access to premium bullet and stab proof vests whilst studying Public Services. We are pleased to donate such items to colleges like Coleg Cambria in order to help students prepare adequately for the line of work they have chosen.”

SafeGuard Armour and Clothing is a worldwide manufacturer and distributor of body armour and is involved in research and development for new materials to enhance the wearability of protective body armour for front line services. First-hand experience of using such police, military and security personnel level professional equipment will give students at Coleg Cambria a unique opportunity to get used to the sort of protective clothing they will use when they embark upon their chosen careers.
