Health, Caring & Public Services

Health, Caring & Public Services

Health and Social Care courses at Coleg Cambria prepare you for work within the sector.

You will take part in interesting and fulfilling work placements to gain vital experience that will help you when you move on to look for employment.

For all courses you must be able to demonstrate the potential to work independently and safely in the industry settings.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS)
As you are likely to take part in work experience which involves either children or vulnerable adults as part of all these courses, you will need to complete an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS). If you have a criminal record you may still gain a place on the course, it depends on the nature and background of any offence. If you would like to discuss this issue in confidence, please contact Student Services on 0300 3030 007 for more details.
