This City and Guilds 2391-51 Periodic Inspection and Testing Course covers five core sections:

Assessment will be by a 40 question multiple choice online exam, a written question paper and a practical test.
Level 3 in Electrical Installation, consideration will be given to equivalent qualifications
It is highly recommended that you complete the City & Guilds 2391-50 Initial Verification of Electrical Installations course before attending this training.
This course is best suited to those who are working within the electrical industry and are actively involved with the inspection and testing process with previous experience of live boards.
There is a very small element of practice, however, no formal practical training will be provided.
You should also have a good understanding of the latest IET Wiring Regulations BS7671 and an up-to-date 18th Edition certificate.
In summary, this course is designed for those who want to progress their testing and inspection skills and a good understanding of the fundamentals is essential. It is strongly suggested that you have 2 year’s experience working with inspection and testing as a practicing electrician before taking this course.
