Duration | Part Time, The course, using a blended learning approach, runs over three semesters, one module per semester, to help with your work-life balance – you could have a professional marketing qualification in just over a year. It will be delivered on Monday evenings from 5.30-8.30pm. The next course starts on 11 September 2023 and will finish by 29 November 2024. |

Course Overview
To gain the CIM Certificate in Professional Digital Marketing qualification you should successfully complete two mandatory modules and one elective module. However each module can be taken as a standalone module to gain a module award.
Modules include:
1. Applied Marketing (mandatory)
2. Planning Campaigns (mandatory)
3. Digital Marketing Techniques (elective)
The total qualification time for each module is 170 hours. Each module is worth 17 credits.
Aims: Mandatory Module 1. Applied Marketing
By the end of this module, learners should be able to:
• Understand the contribution of marketing to the organisation
• Know what influences customer behaviour across a range of contexts
• Understand the factors and trends in the marketing environment and how they affect marketing
• Know a range of options for gathering relevant marketing information
• Understand the application of the marketing mix within different marketing contexts
• Know how to apply and adapt the marketing mix to satisfy customer needs and business goals
Mandatory Module 2. Planning Campaigns
By the end of this module, learners should be able to::
• Understand the process of planning a campaign
• Know how to undertake an internal and external situational analysis
• Know how to develop a successful campaign plan
• Understand how to implement a plan in practice
• Understand the principles of monitoring a marketing campaign
• Know how to undertake a post campaign evaluation
Elective module 3: Digital Marketing Techniques
By the end of this module, learners should be able to:
• Understand digital marketing tools and techniques
• Assess different applications of digital marketing
• Know how to integrate digital and offline marketing
• Understand approaches to enhancing stakeholder engagement
• Know how to develop a digital marketing plan
• Apply and adapt a digital marketing analysis

By the end of this module, learners should be able to:

• Apply and adapt a digital marketing analysis
To secure the whole qualification you will be assessed across three modules. The assessment for the mandatory, Applied Marketing module is a two hour, online multiple choice examination.
Planning Campaigns and Digital Marketing Techniques are each assessed by a workplace assignment.
If a module is studied as a standalone module, an individual Award qualification can be achieved.

One or more of the following is required to gain entry to this qualification:
• CIM level 3 Introductory or Foundation Certificate in Marketing qualification.
• Any relevant level 3 qualification.
• Any UK degree or international equivalent.
• International Baccalaureate (equivalent to NQF Level 3 and above).
• Professional practice (suggested one year in a marketing role) plus diagnostic assessment on to level 4.
• CIM level 3 Introductory or Foundation Certificate in Marketing qualification.
• Any relevant level 3 qualification.
• Any UK degree or international equivalent.
• International Baccalaureate (equivalent to NQF Level 3 and above).
• Professional practice (suggested one year in a marketing role) plus diagnostic assessment on to level 4.
Gaining this internationally recognised professional qualification will help you to have a successful career in marketing and will add value to your job through your understanding and applying key marketing tools to an operational level.
