Duration | Part Time, The course, using a blended learning approach, runs over two semesters, one module per semester, to help with your work-life balance – you could have a professional marketing qualification in less than a year. It will be delivered on Tuesday evenings from 5.30-8.30pm. There will be optional tutorials from 5-5.30pm and 8.30-9pm on the lecture dates to help with your learning. The next course starts on 12 September 2023 and will finish by 28 June 2024 |

Course Overview
To gain the CIM Foundation Certificate in Professional Digital Marketing qualification you should successfully complete one mandatory module, Marketing Principles and one elective module, Digital Fundamentals. However each module can be taken as a standalone module to gain a CIM level 3 module award.
Modules include:
1. Marketing Principles (mandatory)
2. Digital Essentials (elective)
The total qualification time for each module is 120 hours. Each module is worth 12 credits.
The aim of this qualification is to equip you with the knowledge, skills and understanding to be able to perform in a support role, in a digital context and to carry out an essential and successful professional marketing role within the workplace.
Aims of the Marketing Principles module:
· Understand the role and function of marketing within organisations and the factors that influence consumer behaviour
· Identify key components of the marketing environment
· Appreciate how to collect and utilise relevant information about the marketing environment
· Understand the marketing mix and how it is applied in a range of different contexts
Aims of the Digital Fundamentals module:
· Introduce you to the main aspects of digital marketing including the impact that digital technology has had on marketing activities and its effect on customers
· Understand digital marketing tools and how to use these
· Develop digital marketing content
Develop digital communications campaigns and measure their success

Marketing Principles – external assessment: an online examination comprising multiple choice questions. There will be a mock examination at the college beforehand to help you prepare.
Digital Fundamentals – external assessment: an assignment based on a theme and an organisation of choice. Support will be provided by the tutor to help you prepare.
If a module is studied as a standalone module, an individual award qualification can be achieved.

This course is perfect for those new to junior marketing roles or aspiring to enter the industry and looking for the perfect introduction to marketing.
It is not necessary to have any previous experience or knowledge of marketing to study the CIM Foundation Certificate in Professional Digital Marketing course.
