Each student has an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) that records their personalised goals and targets. Students receive regular 1:1 support from their personal tutor and transitions officer to review their progress and support within the placement. Individualised targets ensure progress toward Long Term destinations. A relevant qualification or units may also be achieved whilst on programme.
This programme is designed for learners with learning disabilities and/or difficulties who require support to enter into paid employment. It is suitable for learners progressing from ILS Programmes. This programme is based on site at ASDA where the majority of the programme is practical work experience. New students undertake a comprehensive initial assessment and induction before progressing to an individualised work experience programme linked to their specific targets and aspirations. Learners suited to this course will have an Education plan (Learning Skills Plan or Education Health Care Plan) which details their additional learning needs.
