Course Overview
This course is aimed at learners who are 19+ and looking to further enhance their employability skills and/or gain formal qualifications in maths and English to help them progress to an Access to Higher Education course.
Literacy and numeracy development will be a core focus for all learners on programme with each learner having the opportunity to undertake Essential Skills Wales qualifications in Communication and Application of Number.
Access to the Job Shop and Study skills are an integral part of the programme to help prepare you for your next steps.
All learners will be invited for an interview and asked to complete an initial Maths and English assessment to ensure they have the required skills to complete the programme

Your learning and achievement will be assessed throughout the course using a variety of methods. You will be expected to create a portfolio of evidence which may include evidence such as information leaflets and posters on various topics, and write essays and reports.
No formal entry requirements are required for this course, however applicants should have at least three years of relevant life skills gained after compulsory education.
