Course Overview
DELIVERY / TUTOR SUPPORT -

This is a taught programme, using a blended learning approach (some on-line delivery) with tutor support for assignments and assessments.

Part-time 4 hours per week.

The course covers:
- Developing Yourself as an effective people professional
- Understanding organisations and the role of people professionals
- Recording and analysing and data
- Resourcing talent
- Supporting good practice in managing employment relations
- Supporting good practice in performance and reward management

CIPD MEMBERSHIP STATUS:-
During the course, the candidate will be required to take out Student Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Upon successful completion of this course student membership is upgraded to Foundation level membership.
There are no examinations.

Each unit will be assessed by a variety of assessment tasks which may include assignments, case studies, statistical analysis or practical activities. Students will also be expected to assess their own development and maintain a Learning Log which will be submitted and reviewed.
•Anyone working at the level of HR Administrator or HR Officer whose role is to provide support for key aspects of the people function.
•Someone new to or aspiring to a career in the people profession.
•Line managers, supervisors or team leaders who wish to gain knowledge of people practice
•The owners or managers of small businesses.
Math’s and English GCSE Grades A-C or equivalent
To CIPD Associate Diploma in People Management or Intermediate qualifications, to other QCF approved workplace assessed qualification, or to full CIPD professional status, via Advanced level studies.
£2100. In addition, course members have to take out student membership of CIPD which costs approximately £130 in the current year (payable directly to CIPD) – details of how you obtain student membership are provided at the start of the course. A textbook is recommended and will cost approx. £35. (Or £30 in eBook format).
