Course Overview
DELIVERY / TUTOR SUPPORT –
This is a part time program, delivered entirely in the workplace with tutor support for assignments and assessments. 5 initial workshops delivered over a short period of time cover knowledge, understanding and application of business improvement techniques. During these workshops, a range of improvement projects which can have a positive impact on Quality, Cost and Delivery measures for the business are identified, which, at level 2, learners will be expected to contribute to, forming the basis of any subsequent assessment, which takes place over a period of time following the workshops.
The course covers:
-Complying with Statutory regulations and organizational requirements
-Contributing to effective communication and teamwork
-Contributing to the application of workplace organization
-Contributing to the application of continuous improvement techniques (kaizen)
-Contributing to developing visual management and standardisation
-Applying flow process analysis
-Contributing to practical problem solving

There are no examinations or tests
Each unit will be assessed by a variety of assessment tasks which may include observations, project reports, statistical analysis, practical activities, collection of relevant documentation and written responses to questions.

There are no entry requirements. Level 2 is ideal if you work or want to work in a business improvement environment. You may already have some knowledge and basic skills in the industry. You want to increase your skills and knowledge of the processes involved to improve your career prospects or move on to further study.
As well as development within your current role, this can also allow you to move onto Business Improvement Techniques NVQ L3
