Course Overview
The ICDL is the International Computer Driving Licence, which was formerly known as the ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence).
The ICDL Advanced is designed specifically for those who wish to gain a higher
benchmark qualification in computing to enable them to develop their IT skills and enhance their career prospects. This is an internationally recognised qualification.
The ICDL Advanced consists of the following units -
Word Processing
Databases
Spreadsheets
Presentations
Improving Productivity – only available once the others have been completed
This course delivers one of the above units, which is a certificated qualification in its own right and can contribute to the ICDL Advanced as a whole if other units are completed also, separately.
Delivery is based on a flexible model. This works in a workshop fashion, with the learning proceeding on a learner-centred basis, at the learner's own pace and ability level via electronic and/or printed materials. A tutor is on hand at all times during the sessions to provide guidance and support. The course is roll-on, roll-off, which means that learners can start and finish when they need to according to their knowledge and ability levels.
Once enrolled, you will have 12 months to complete your qualification.
