Course Overview
Photoshop Creative Cloud is industry-standard technology that millions of artists, photographers, and designers make use of to bring their ideas to life.
During the 6 hour course you will be shown the following via PC delivery:
Introduction to Photoshop Creative Cloud - 6 Hour Course
● Creating suitable directory structures (file storage)
● Creating a new canvas (image) – i.e. logo, web banners
● Saving the core Photoshop file (.psd, .eps)
● Introduction to creating layers
● Using the tools (toolbox), tools options and panels menus:
o Adding background colour (colour picker), text, formatting, eye dropper, cloning, blending (overlay), cropping
● Copyright review – (e.g. GNU public licence (GPL))
● Locate and load files into Photoshop (vector graphics)
● Use layers to add in external file graphics
● Applying Filters
● Layer Masking
● Layer Styles (FX)
● Create a logo/marketing flyer

Ongoing assessment via tasks and tutor monitoring
There are no formal entry requirements, although users are expected to be familiar with the basics of computer and internet use.
