Course Overview
Eleven sports, fitness & outdoor activity-based vocational units.
1) Fitness for sport and exercise
2) Practical sports performance
3 ) The mind and sports performance
4 ) The sports performer in action
5) Training for personal fitness
6) Leading sports activities
7) Anatomy and physiology
8) Lifestyle and well-being
9) Running a sports and active event
10) Sport and active leisure industry
11) Carrying out a sports related project
12) Designing a programme
13) Expedition experience
14) Practical water-based outdoor adventurous activities
It is a requirement to resit any Maths and/or English GCSE that is not currently at a grade C/4.
Students will also have the opportunity to take part in the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh course.

Nine units will be internally assessed via regular assignments, graded at pass, merit and distinction level.
Two units are externally assessed through online exams.

Progression learners from level 1 must attain a pass in this qualification are subject to a review of their performance on the course.
