Course Overview
This is a two-day course to provide the basic principles for Managers and Supervisors to lead, mentor and support an employee to proactively engage in their employment. To manage fluctuations in people’s health and to equip them with the tools to improve Health & Wellbeing in their organisation.
● Understanding mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.
● Define how mental ill health affects the experience of individuals.
● Why it’s important to manage fluctuations in people’s health
● Explain the mental health continuum and how to recognize symptoms associated with the main types of mental ill health and ‘wellbeing’ of employee
● Identify ways to self-manage own wellbeing
● Understand the moral, financial and legal rationale for supporting wellbeing in the workplace
● Learn how to help co-workers return to work after an illness
● Gain tools and techniques to improve health and wellbeing across your organisation.

This qualification is assessed by multiple-choice examination, which will be marked by Highfield.
This qualification is approved for delivery to learners who are employed in this field with some management or supervisory experience. Also, candidates moving up to Supervisor or Managerial roles.
On successful completion of this qualification, learners may wish to continue their development by undertaking one of the following qualifications:
