Looking to advance your Barbering knowledge and skills? Then this is the course for you.
The VTCT Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Barbering (QCF) is a technical level qualification that provides you with the knowledge, understanding and skills to work as an employed and/or self-employed barber.
Why is this qualification the most suitable?
This qualification covers specific skills necessary to work as a Barber in a Barbershop. The qualification builds on existing knowledge and understanding of Barbering and develops more detailed and enhanced technical skills necessary for employment.
What does this qualification cover?
There are four mandatory units in this qualification for you to study including:
● Provide client consultation services
● Creatively cut hair using a combination of barbering techniques
● Design and create a range of facial hair shapes
● Provide shaving services
You will then be able to select a minimum of two optional units from a range of 10 units.
The full range of units can be found within the record of assessment book.
What could this qualification lead to?
Learners who complete this qualification are eligible to become a State Registered Barber (SRB) with The Hairdressing/Barbering Council.
In addition to the Level 3 Barbering qualification, the learning area programme consists of the following:
● GCSE in English & Maths or Essential Skills Wales
● Development of Welsh language skills
● All learners must complete a Work Placement
