Coleg Cambria are the latest apprenticeship provider to offer support for fish friers in Wales.

Recently expanding their support for apprenticeships to include fish friers in North Wales, the college will be working closely with Seafish, the NFFF and Food and Drink Qualifications (FDQ) Ltd.

Coleg Cambria is looking for a small group of fish friers as part of their pilot offering over the summer, before a wider rollout later in the year. Apprenticeships based around the Level 2 and Level 3 fish and shellfish proficiency skills frameworks will initially be offered to fish friers and then later to fishmongers and processors in the region.

Work-based Learning Manager at Coleg Cambria, Kate Muddiman said:

“This is an exciting opportunity for those within the fish friers industry, and we look forward to welcome the cohort onto the new apprenticeship programme.”
