Dance Rebels: a Story of Modern Dance

New to eStream and available to view is a recording that should be of interest to the Performing Arts cohort in particular, ‘Dance Rebels: a Story of Modern Dance’, a documentary telling the story of the mavericks like Isadora Duncan, Martha Graham, Merce Cunningham and Pina Bausch, whose radical ideas created modern dance in the 20th century.

Cross-fertilizing with other creative discplines, as dance does of course, Cunningham for instance collaborated with other such luminaries as the composer John Cage and the visual artists (and also performer in the latter case) Jasper Johns and Robert Rauschenberg, thus it is hoped this programme will have broader appeal too – tune in to eStream, in college or at home, and take a look.
