Today is World Book Day 2015 and once again we will be giving out free books (Library at Yale)  including the lovely, specially authored World Book Day Books.  These are available to everyone who wants a free book (as long as stocks last).  There are some wonderful titles this year which range from age 2+ up to teen/young adult.  The books include familiar authors such as the wonderfully talented Holly Smale and the Geek Girl series, Chris Riddell pens a World Book Day special with Goth Girl and the Pirate Queen, Jonny Duddle and the essential Pirate’s Guide to Landlubbing and the master storyteller Michael Morpurgo who has compiled a collection of Best Mates animal stories, to name but a few.

In addition to free books, there will be free bookmarks and the opportunity to sign up to our World Book Day Reading Bingo challenge.  Complete a line or a grid to win a prize.  Our displays on the ground floor of the library at Yale provide lots of helpful suggestions and books related to the bingo categories.  Visit the library at Yale to collect your free book, bookmark and bingo card.

Useful resources for World Book Day can be found on the WBD2015 website including book jackets, book lists and information sheets about all the authors.
