What is an Manufacturing Engineering Apprenticeship like?
Over 2.5 years, our Level 4 Manufacturing Engineering Apprenticeship will equip you
for a lifetime of boundary-pushing engineering work in a career that could take you
to any of the four continents in which we operate—well, we’ve always been about
We’ll show you in depth how we turn out quality new JCB products to time and
budget constraints. You’ll see the implementation of new technologies, streamline
processes through designing on CAD new tooling and equipment to ensure ultimate
efficiency. Being at the forefront of product introduction means you will be one step
ahead at all times, thinking creatively about all our processes.
Our business is always innovating and our Engineering professionals will be in your
corner throughout the programme, coaching you in just how we do it. There are no
barriers to the top professionals here—you’ll have direct, one-on-one access to all
their expertise. Even though we’re global, we’re still a family business and, with the

What will I get out of an Manufacturing Engineering Apprenticeship?
Completing the programme will earn you a Higher National Certificate in

How do I qualify for a JCB Apprenticeship?
A level in Maths, Science, Technology or Engineering
Completed an Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship
Advanced Diploma in Engineering or Manufacturing
In addition to the above you will also need to have the following:
You’ll need at least four GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths, English and a
relevant scientific/technical subject at C/4 or above. Just as importantly, you should
be looking for a career that will really allow you to make your mark in a field you’re
