Precision livestock farming for a sustainable Welsh agricultural Industry

Over the past 18 months the PreciseAg project has delivered on-farm livestock innovative trials at Llysfasi and IBERS. Please join us to find out more about precision livestock farming and the potential benefits these techniques could add to your business in the future.

This day will include:

  • Discussion of trial progress, results of dairy, beef and sheep trials and implications for the future, to include
    • Early detection of illnesses in calves
    • Control of liver fluke in sheep
    • Use of technology to monitor feed intake in dairy cows
  • Demonstrations of precision livestock technologies and devices
  • IBERS Latest animal health research update and developments
  • An update on Llysfasi campus and farm
